Cracking hoverfly
With Dipteria lacking somewhat on the blog at the moment, Doug Fairweather noticed this striking
Chrysotoxum bicinctum
in Ryton, North Yorkshire, on some hogweed. It is definately true that the bigger the beast the more stunning they look!
