A few butterflies on the wing today at Tophill Low included a few Speckled Woods, several Brimstone and Commas but no sign of any Holly Blue at this site yet despite some on the wing in central Howden in the week. Also no sign of any damselflies on the wing despite a semi-exhaustive search! Common Sandpiper the only bird of note.
